International Blues Challenge #33


2017 International Blues Challenge will be January 31-February 4, 2017. The International Showcase will open the event on January 31 with competition rounds February 1-4 in venues located on historic Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee. Tickets sales for the 33rd International Blues Challenge are officially open!

Join us Friday, November 4 for an awesome double-bill show with Davy Knowles and the Steepwater Band! Show time is 8PM at the Des Moines Social Club’s Kum & Go Theater, 901 Cherry St, Des Moines. $20 general public / $15 CIBS members

tixFormer BACK DOOR SLAM frontman DAVY KNOWLES is touring in support of his latest studio album “The Outsider”, his upcoming film documentary “Island Bound” and a series of new blues recordings.

The Steepwater Band will open the show followed by Davy Knowles’ band. Encore may feature both bands jamming!

Walter Trout at Lefty’s Live Music on August 28th

CIBS sponsored Walter Trout, with opening act, the Jeff Banks Band, at Lefty’s Live Music on Sunday, August 28th. Jeff Banks’ opening set got cut short by a power outage. The storm passed and power was restored around 7:30… the show went on!
