The Central Iowa Blues Society will hold its 1st annual Membership Picnic on Sunday July 28th in Des Moines Water Works Park. This family friendly event is open to CIBS members and their families. The picnic will run from 12:30 thru 6pm with food served at 1:30. Live music by Rob Lumbard will follow from 3pm – 5pm and be open to the public. CIBS will provide burgers, brats, hotdogs, condiments, plates and plastic ware, the rest will be a pot luck style format. So bring your favorite dish to share, your own beverage ( pop, ice tea, beer, wine etc…) There will be games, contests, prizes, and just a whole lot of fun! The best way to sum it up is to think of the picnic as a family reunion of your “Blues Family”…
