For thirty-four years, The Blues Foundation has celebrated and recognized established blues artists through the Blues Music Awards. For twenty-nine years, The Blues Foundation has encouraged future blues performers through the International Blues Challenge. The Best Self-Produced CD was established in 2005 to recognize excellence in independent Blues recordings.  CIBS, as a Blues Foundation affiliate is allowed to nominate one CD for the competition.  Those acts with a qualifying CD that would like to be considered as CIBS’ nominee, first check out the OFFICIAL RULES on the Blues Foundation website.  Then print off the 2014 BSPCD APPLICATION, fill it out and get it it, along with 5 copies of the disc in CIBS’ hands by Monday, October 13, 2014.  Late entries will not be considered, so don’t delay!!!!
