Winter Blues Fest Afternoon Extra! FREE Guitar Workshop with Doug Deming in the Des Moines Room from 1-3 PM. Everyone is welcome!
FROM DOUG: the workshop will be lecture with examples and we will be focusing on the guitar’s roll in a swing blues format (rhythm and soloing). You are welcome to bring a guitar to work on examples together but there won’t be amps provided.

Volunteer Opportunities
There are a limited number of volunteer opportunities available for the 2019 Winter Blues Fest! Each volunteer shift is two hours for tasks such as wristband check, ticketing, info desk, load in/out.

Winter Blues Helles Lager
The Central Iowa Blues Society partnered with Confluence Brewing Company to brew a special beer to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Winter Blues Fest. This simple but elegant “bright” lager is hand crafted with floor-malted Bohemian Pilsner malt, German noble hops, and lager yeast for a crisp refreshing flavor. Winter Blues Helles Lager will be available at the fest as well as the brewery and participating retail outlets. Salute!
