Lynette Webster – 2024 INDUCTEE
The name Lynette Webster has been synonymous with the Central Iowa Blues Society (CIBS), since its beginnings. A founding member in 1992, she went on to dedicate over two decades of her life to CIBS. This was her way of giving back to the music and musicians she loved. Under her leadership CIBS started or continued hosting the Court Avenue Blues Festival, Iowa Blues Challenge, Blues in the Schools, Winter Blues Fest and the Iowa Blues Hall of Fame.
Then in 1999 along came Blues on Grand (BOG). She stepped up to help and support her life partner Jeff Wagner in every way possible. No job was too big or too small. She was there to do whatever it took to help Jeff keep the doors open. She loved her time working with Jeff, she loved the BOG, and she loves her BOG family who know her simply as Mama.
Lynette continues to volunteer at CIBS events every year and has played an integral part in Keeping the Blues Alive here in Iowa for the past three decades.
