The preliminary rounds are complete and 6 Iowa Blues acts are now in preparation to throw down for the crown of 2015 Iowa Blues Challenge Champion on Saturday, May 16th at the Downtown Des Moines Marriott. The doors will open at 5:30 pm and admission is $10. Members of any Iowa Blues Society can enjoy a $2 discount IF they display a current membership card. Approximate performance times are as follows:

2015 Iowa Blues Challenge Prize Package:
1st place Solo/Duo: $250 cash prize, 8 hours recording time courtesy of Junior’s Motel, opportunities for paid performances, including: 2016 Winter Blues Fest & 2016 Bottoms Up Blues Bash, among others, and entry into & $300 travel expenses for the 2016 International Blues Challenge in Memphis TN.
2nd place Solo/Duo: $150 cash prize
3rd place Solo/Duo: $100 cash prize
1st place Band: $500 cash prize, 8 hours recording time courtesy of Junior’s Motel, opportunities for paid performances, including: 2015 Parks Area Sweet Corn Day festival, 2016 Winter Blues Fest & 2016 BBQ’Loo & Blues Too! festival, among others, and entry into & $1200 travel expenses for the 2016 International Blues Challenge in Memphis TN.
2nd place Band: $300 cash prize
3rd place Band: $200 cash prize
