Joanne Jackson Quartet Video
CIBS members, John and Elaine Mattingly sent us this note…
We would like to announce the release of a new music video production of Iowa Blues Hall of Famer Joanne Jackson’s recording of our original song, Next To You. We wrote this song back in 1999 and are celebrating its 20th anniversary. The music video includes a photo tribute of Miss Jackson’s career following the performance of the song by the Joanne Jackson Quartet (Joanne Jackson on vocal, John Mattingly on piano, Steve McCombs on bass and Marty McDonald on drums). It was recorded at Great Plains Recording in Clive. We were honored that Miss Jackson regularly sang our song while performing in central Iowa. She now resides in the Los Angeles area with her son and can be easily reached via Facebook:)
Please share, communicate and enjoy this project as you see fit:)
In appreciation for all you do for the blues!
John & Elaine Mattingly
