Andre Mosqueda- 2015 INDUCTEE
Andre Mosqueda is a self-described “Chicago Chicano (Blues-in-the-Blood Hispanic) native.” He first became involved in radio as a Communications & Dramatic Arts student at the University of Iowa in 1969.
While over the course of his 45+ year career, he has worked in a variety of genres, including blues, country, oldies and AAA (adult album alternative), for the last 20 years Andre has worked exclusively within the blues genre, with his “Roadhouse Blues” show, which appeared on KGGO-FM from 1996 to 2014 and his current “Andre’s Blues” show on KFMG-LP 99.1 on alternating Tuesday nights, opposite Don “T-Bone” Erickson.
In 2004, Andre was honored by the Blues Foundation in Memphis, Tennessee with a Keeping the Blues Alive award in the category of Commercial Radio.
Andre is Co-President in his family’s restaurant business, Tasty Tacos.
