Tina Haase-Findlay – 2024 INDUCTEE

Hailing from Des Moines, Tina Haase-Findlay has been captivating audiences with her powerful voice and soulful performances starting at the age of three at her local church in Algona, Iowa. Tina’s unique style combines elements of traditional blues, soul, and rock, creating a sound that is both timeless and fresh. Her melismatic and emotive vocals have earned her comparisons to legendary blues singers such as Etta James and Janis Joplin. A 5-time finalist and 2-time winner of the Iowa Blues Challenge, Tina was the youngest female inductee into the Iowa CJC Jazz Hall of Fame. Tina is a regular participant in the CIBS’ Blues Education program and has also taught hundreds as a vocal coach. She has also collaborated with numerous renowned musicians including nearly 30 Iowa Blues Hall of Famers, created dozens of blues-based programs for many diverse social and educational organizations and recorded multiple albums. Despite facing numerous challenges throughout her career, Tina Haase-Findlay has remained true to her roots and continues to share her love for music with audiences far and wide.
